Nice to see you here! As to the Euro: The Swissdo not belong to the EU, so they didn't have to change over. Most people found it convenient when travelling through Europe you didn't have to change your money in Liras, Drachmes, Franc, D-Mark any more. And you didn't have to work out all those different exchange rates. But I am sure, there are quite a few facts that speak and spoke against a monetary union and there were warning voices as well. In the end it was a political decision. But I am no expert in those things!
